Forgotten forest activity update

“JTFL was recently pleased to supervise a group of 15 Scouts from the 6th Manton Pack who gave up 2 hours of their time to work in the woods. They performed a number of very useful environmental tasks such as weeded out seedling sycamore trees, heading back hog weed seed head to prevent them spreading as well as pruning back some rapidly growing hazel bushes. The branches for the hazels were put to good use as, being stacked in strategic places, will make various habitats for the likes of birds, hedgehogs and rodents. A big thank you to all who helped 7 we look forward to seeing you again here soon.”
