Hedgerow Campaign 2018 update cont’d.

Our 2018 Hedgerow Campaign has been proceeding extremely well despite the winter weather and, having recruited a couple of seasonal workers plus the successful extra help from the Conservation volunteers, I can report that we have exceeded the 5,000 mark and still have another month or so to go!

Our campaign this year has been mainly focussed on extending on from last years campaign in the St.Peter/St.Brelade area near Route de Francief. It is quite a joyous sight, having completed an area, to look at a veritable sea of new native hedging and trees replete with their rabbit-guards and shelters.

Many thanks to all involved and also special thanks to Mr. Charles Le Couteur for granting us permission to plant on his farmland.
