As part of their 175th anniversary celebrations, the staff from Normans have decided to join us as part of our on-going Hedgerow Campaign. Over three weekends, a broad cross-section of employees together with their children, braved the elements to plant 175 various native species of hedgerow and tree whips (one for each year that Normans has been in existence). After a brief overview, our arboriculturist Conrad Evans gave the team a demonstration on how to plant a whip, with their new found knowledge all the volunteers set off enthusiastically to regenerate two new hedgerows situated near Five Oaks. After a good two hour shift from the staff we had completed our objective and the volunteers left with a certain satisfaction. A big thank you to all who attended and Happy 175th anniversary!

Report a Tree Protector
We have been planting trees in Jersey for years and we often get reports of tree protectors not degrading as they should over time. If you see one that is clinging to its tree and refusing to give up please let us know. Drop us an email with the location and we'll get it removed.
