Education Programme 2019-2020
“In considering our Education Programme we looked at whether school children’s learning about their local environment would influence the way they treat it. We found that not only was this the case, but high quality, out-of-classroom learning also influenced how children behave and the lifestyle choices they make.”
We are a free resource to schools for environmental education. We want to work to create a sense of ownership and stewardship between children and young people and their environment. Providing a safe and stimulating environment full of sensory diversity benefits skills to reach their potential such as:
- Self esteem
- Working as a team
- Confidence building
- Impulse control
- Pride and Self worth
- Whole/half day activities within school grounds or visit our woodland areas
- Classroom sessions
- Eco club involvement
- Small group work
- Year groups/activity week – looking after our woodlands
- Teddy bear picnics//learn about pollination and biodiversity
Tailor made sessions – one size does not always fit all!
